Like any great creation a great product usually start out with someone saying they either need, want or haven’t had in a long time… So our story is no different. It started out with a family member, which I believe was my niece Candias stating that she haven’t had a rum cake in a long time and of course we started reminiscing about my belated mother and sister’s cooking. How they could throw down in the kitchen especially with those rum cakes and then comes along Chef Vidal, my husband stating that his rum cake is off the chain.

I was never a fan of bundt cake, but these fine folks converted me. I cannot believe the heathen I've been. I was working the Houston Menu of Menus and a gentlemen brought us some to take home, and I think I had the $100 Bundt. It's moist, balanced, and the cream laced on top is perfect and in the center you have a shot of that tequila blended with icing in the center that'll take you to heaven. I plan on visiting the store and taking friends and buying their cakes for special occasions!
